In thrilling fashion, Grantsville defeated arch rival Morgan 4-3 on a 2-run double by Alex Childs with 2 outs in the bottom of the seventh. TJ Sieh threw well for the Cowboys, while Alex Childs came in and threw 1 pitch to get the final out in the top of the seventh, as he ended up picking up the win. It was a real pitchers dual going into the seventh. The Trojans were able to take their first lead of the game in the top of the seventh on a 2-run single with 2 outs. Grantsville answered back as Andrew Nelson drew a lead off walk. An error moved pinch runner, Bridger Boman, into scoring position. After 1 out was recorded, Ryley Boman drew a walk. Both runners moved up a base on a fielders choice. Childs came to the plate and became the hero of the day as he drove an 0-1 pitch over the centerfielders head to score the Boman brothers and pull out the victory for the Cowboys.
Lincoln Kelley had an rbi single in the second inning while Andrew Nelson drove in a run in the fourth and also had 2 hits on the day for Grantsville.
The Cowboys will look to take control of the league race as they face the Logan Grizzlies on Monday April 6 and the Ben Lomond Scots on Tuesday April 7 at Cowboy Field. First pitch for both games is 3:30.
