Woods Cross explodes to down the Cowboys 17-4

The Woods Cross Wildcats put it to the Cowboys scoring 5 runs in the 4th and 10 in the 7th to hand the Cowboys a 17-4 loss at home.

After the Wildcats took a 1-0 lead in the 1st, Grantsville answered back in a big way as Andrew Nelson blasted a 2-run home run to give the Cowboys a 2-1 lead. Woods Cross exploded for 5 runs in the 4th, highlighted by a 3-run home run. Grantsville fought back to make it 7-4 in the bottom of the 4th thanks to Lincoln Kelley's second home in as many days. The game was still a tight affair going into the 7th when the wheels came off for the Cowboys. Most of the damage was done with the help of the long ball as the Wildcats blasted another 3-run home run and a grand slam. Grantsville aided the Woods Cross cause by committing seven errors on the day.

The Cowboys will be back in action on Tuesday at home as they take on the Hunter Wolverines at Cowboy Field with a 3:30 scheduled start.
