After being in full control thru the first 5 innings, Grantsville had to hold on in the end to defeat the Hunter Wolverines 8-6.
Andrew Nelson got the start on the mound and cruised through the first 5 innings and help the Cowboys to an 8-1 lead. He finished with 9 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk.
Offensively the Cowboys kept the pressure on by scoring runs in every inning up through the 5th. Lincoln Kelley led the charge by rapping out 3 hits, scoring 2 runs, and driving in 3 runs. Connor Turner was able to reach base 4 times including a double in the 2nd inning. Tyson Hutchins had a good day going 1 for 2 with a double including 2 walks and scoring 2 runs. Jake Campbell had a good day at the plate collecting 2 hits on the day.
