Grantsville defeats Wasatch 11-9
In the night cap the Cowboy bats came alive as we rapped out 13 hits and took advantage of five Wasatch errors to post an 11-9 victory. Kellan Rhoades entered the game in a 4th inning jam and working his way out of it and held Wasatch at bay to give us a chance to get the bats going. Alex Childs came on in the 7th inning with one out and the tying run at the plate to record a ground out and end the game with a strikeout recording the save. Ryley Boman capped off a great day at the plate with a solo home run in the first and an RBI triple in the 7th for his 3rd hit of the game. Taylor Matthews hit a lead off home run in the 4th for the Cowboys. Payeton Reed & Kort Fonger had a good game at the plate recording 2 hits each and Alex Childs had a key 2-run single in the 5th to get Grantsville back in the game. Grantsville was able to put up 5 runs in the top of the seventh taking advantage of a couple of Wasatch errors and then held on to record their first win of the season.
