In a game played in a stiff wind, the Davis Darts upended the Grantsville Cowboys 5-0. The Darts took advantage of a walk and a pair of singles in the third to put 1 run on the board. In the fifth they strung together 3 consecutive singles all with 2 outs to put another run across the plate. In the sixth 3 singles and a pair of Cowboy errors led to 3 more runs. Grantsville failed to put anything on the board as we left 10 runners on base, 6 of them in scoring position. Unfortunately that has become an ugly trend for this years team. Lincoln Kelley & Tyson Hutchins pounded out doubles for 2 of the Cowboys 4 hits on the day, Ryley Boman & Jake Campbell also had a single apiece. Alex Childs started on the hill for Grantsville and threw well for six innings.
After a busy 2 weeks filled with games, the schedule gets back to normal as we hope to get things turned around. We are scheduled to host Judge early in the week and then travel to Juan Diego on Friday.

This is the 6th ball game I have watched you guys play this year. Although you lost, I think it was one of the better games I have seen this year. Nearly all of you were making contact with the ball; with very few stike outs. Far fewer errors than in previous games. I know playing these bigger schools has been a challenge physically and emotionally, but it will pay dividends come Region play. Hold you heads up, keep working hard, and HAVE FUN!!!
