Cowboys split with Beaver

Due to many schedule changes, the Cowboys and Beavers hooked up to play a doubleheader.

Beaver 8 Grantsville 6
The Beavers took advantage of 4 Cowboy errors to take the first game 8-6. Beaver came out in the first inning and used 2 singles, 2 errors, a sac fly, and a double to take a 4-0 lead. Grantsville fought back to cut the lead to 5-4 after 4 innings. Beaver tacked on 2 more runs in the 6th. The Cowboys answered right back with 2 runs of their own to cut the lead to 7-6. They had runners on 2nd & 3rd with one out when a line drive turned into a double play to end the rally. Beaver got 1 in the 7th and set the Cowboys down in order to take game 1.

Grantsville 5 Beaver 2
The Cowboys came back to earn the split by taking game 2 from the Beavers 5-2. TGrantsville was paced by Andrew Nelson with 2 hits and 2 RBI's including a towerring solo HR. Skyler Cloward was outstanding on the mound for Grantsville goining the distance allowing 3 hits and striking out 7 to earn the win. The Cowboys will begin league play next week as they travel to Judge on Tuesday and then play host to Bear River on Thursday.
