Grantsville took on the Region 11 champions in their home finale, falling to the Stansbury Stallions 13-3.
Things started fast & furious for the Cowboys as they took a 3-0 in the first on a walk by Kelby Landon, an RBI double by Skyler Cloward, & a towering 2-run HR by Connor Turner. That would be the last highlight for the Cowboys as the Stallions dominated the game from the third inning on, scoring 13 unanswered runs.
Turner paced the Cowboys offensively with 2 hits while Cloward, Quinton Smith, & Ky Fisher also netted safeties for Grantsville.
The game marked the final home regular season game for seniors Dalen Erickson, Connor Turner, Drew Sutton, & Jake Ortiz.
The playoffs are next up for Grantsville as they earned the 2nd seed out of Region 11. The first 2 rounds will take place on Saturday May 12th. Details will follow as soon as they are finalized.
